Access Healthcare Services Inc. is looking for full-time and part-time Personal Support Workers (PSW) to serve clients in Winchester and surrounding areas.

  • $500 sign-on bonus

Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with showering, bathing, or partial bathing.
  • Assistance with all daily living tasks, including dressing, hair care, and dental hygiene.
  • Help clients move around, transfer, and settle into chairs or beds.
  • Assist with ROM exercises and other physical therapy activities by the therapist’s prescribed treatment plan.
  • Help clients prepare light meals and feed them.
  • Carry out minor housekeeping tasks according to the service plan
  • Make or replace clients’ bedding as needed Help clients with incontinence care or toileting
  • Help the client take their medication or remind them to do so (do not administer medication)
  • Inform your immediate supervisor of any changes to your health or any dangers to your safety.
  • Fulfill activities assigned to you, specifically tailored for each client; assigned by a nurse or direct supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of the first year of nursing, a PSW or DSW certificate
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of COVID-19 vaccination are necessary for the vehicle.
  • Two tuberculosis tests (finished in the last two years)
  • Police Check for Vulnerable Sector (less than 6 months old)
  • Work must be accessible every other weekend.
  • Minimum of 20 hours per week
  • Working nighttime shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. is required.

    able to freely lift to 35 pounds; able to stand, bend, squat, kneel, and reach;
    the capacity to travel for up to 45 minutes if necessary
