OBJECTIVES
- Make sure that the fuels, intermediate products, and raw materials are provided through the proper channels at the appropriate times.
- Examine, diagnose, and improve the production equipment’s performance at the factory.
- Carry out sampling, analysis, and reporting for quality control of cement and intermediate products.
- Make certain that all personnel are safe and that the plant’s machinery is operating safely.
- Ascertain that the operations of the production department adhere to the relevant environmental legislation and criteria.
- To ensure safe operations and satisfy standards for product quality, adhere to standard operating procedures.
- Conduct pre-use inspections and risk assessments at the safety field level for various pieces of equipment.
- Any safety event, near-miss, accident, dangerous situation, or dangerous activity should be reported. If necessary, take the appropriate, quick action.
- Use telehandlers, articulated dump trucks, forklifts, and skid steers among other mobile equipment.
- When necessary, take an active role in the installation, replacement, and/or repair of thermal insulating lining on various pieces of equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- When necessary, feed the fuels, intermediate products, and raw materials accurately.
- While the equipment is operating, check that it is functioning properly.
- Investigate equipment malfunctions and collaborate with the operator of the control room to resolve procedural problems.
- Conduct checks at various locations throughout the production line and report findings to the operator in the control room.
- When necessary, move spills and/or rejected materials.
- Move and discard kiln dust at the disposal location.
- Fill vans with kiln dust and deliver it to clients.
- Any safety event, near-miss, accident, dangerous situation, or risky activity should be reported. If necessary, take the appropriate, quick action.
- When necessary, take an active role in the installation, replacement, and/or repair of thermal insulating lining on various pieces of equipment.
- Inform the production coordinator or manager of any pertinent information or circumstances pertaining to the plant’s activities.
OPERATOR OF THE LAB
- Gather samples from various stages of the procedure and get them ready for examination.
- Conduct tests using various lab apparatus to ascertain the product’s quality.
- To comply with the quality department’s specified parameters, modify a few process variables.
- Give the control room operator the analysis results so they can modify the process parameters or take any necessary action.
- Complete the report and quality control files.
- As needed and/or feasible, assist the field operator with specific tasks.
- When necessary, take an active role in the installation, replacement, and/or repair of thermal insulating lining on various pieces of equipment.
- Notify the production coordinator, manager, or quality supervisor of any pertinent information or conditions pertaining to the plant’s operations.
QUALIFICATION
- A post-secondary technical diploma in mechanical, electrical, or a related field.
- Prosper in a low-supervision, highly participatory work environment
- Possess a positive mindset and strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
- Possess excellent decision-making abilities, the capacity to set priorities, and the ability to quickly address problems
- Capacity to function both individually and collaboratively in a high-volume manufacturing setting
- Verified experience working in an industrial setting
- competence in mechanics or electronics, including familiarity with tools and/or machinery
- Needs to be focused on safety
- It is necessary to be able to adhere to guidelines, norms, and regulations.
- Ability to perform alternating shifts and any required weekday or weekend hours.
