Requirements
- Requires functional understanding of crisis intervention and evaluation methods.
- Must have a solid track record of performance.
- Exhibited a dedication to our guiding principles, which are joy, inclusivity, compassion, innovation, and teamwork.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and dedication to Lakeridge Health’s extensive safety policies and procedures, which include staff, patient, and environmental safety as well as involvement in frequent in-services.
- A track record of excellent attendance and the ability to uphold this standard;
- A diploma or degree in the field of human services from an approved college or university.
- Two years of relevant, recent experience working in the human services sector.
- The chosen applicant must drive a car to transport clients, and they must have a valid driver’s license. Upon hiring, the chosen applicant must show proof of a current driver’s license and two million dollars in liability insurance.
- A valid criminal investigation reference for the vulnerable sector that is current within the last 12 months is required. Knowledge of issues related to mental health, addiction, and sexual abuse is also required.
- Awareness of the main mental diseases, as well as knowledge of confidentiality, the Mental Health Act, and the fundamentals of client-centered treatment delivery.
- Understanding of the fundamentals of intervention techniques, targeted issue solving, and life skills training.
- Support the residents by being a positive role model, incorporating recovery concepts and client empowerment, and using affirmations and encouragement.
- Educate clients on a range of topics that are pertinent to them. Offer advocacy, dispute resolution, and life skills training.
- Demonstrated dependability (regular attendance and punctuality), communication abilities, and the capacity to operate both as a team and independently with little direction.
- Must act with a strong sense of professionalism when interacting with families, the public, employees, and clients. Must also be personable, amiable, accepting, and understanding.
- Strong focus on secrecy and details. the capacity to perform well under duress.
- Must have strong interpersonal, communication, organizing, time-management, and coordinating abilities.

- A good Criminal Investigation Reference for the vulnerable sector, dated within the last six (6) months, must be provided by successful external applicants.
