Responsibilities
- Assist coworkers in creating a safe work environment and take the initiative to address any unsafe behaviors or situations.
- Recognize and follow all SOPs related to quality (such as when to fringe, how frequently samples are tested, and emergency releases).
- Using the given guidelines, conduct a first-level inspection of multiple shops once during a shift.
- Carry out housekeeping tasks in the field according to the given cleanup checklist.
- Throughout the shift, provide information and address problems using the different technical plant information systems.
- Take care of industrial housekeeping, which includes wiping up spills and maintaining functional equipment.
- The ability to operate heavy mobile equipment and other production equipment will be required of the employee.
- To remove operational roadblocks and address other concerns, collaboration with the production team will be required.
- Work with the shift supervisor to perform general maintenance, such as lubrication and troubleshooting.
- Make prompt and prudent financial repairs to the plant’s equipment.
- For tasks assigned, interpret work orders and technical manuals.
- Carry out regular maintenance on machinery and equipment, including lubrication, cleaning, and component replacement for worn-out parts. Notify the maintenance department of any significant maintenance or repair requirements.
- Keep an eye on the production process to spot any problems or deviations from standard operating procedures, including machine operation.
- To find and fix any flaws or malfunctions, inspect machines and equipment regularly.
- Operate various types of machinery and equipment used in the production process, such as manufacturing machines, assembly line equipment, and automated systems.
- Follow operating procedures and safety guidelines to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Qualifications
- Journeyperson Millwright
- minimum of 2 years of heavy manufacturing or mining experience
- Preference to dual-ticket
- Demonstrated safety leadership and good housekeeping practices
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and troubleshooting skills required
- Proficient use of Word, Excel, document databases, and instrument software
- Able to work independently or with a team
- A first-aid certificate is desirable
