As our company expands, Michelin North America Canada Inc. located in Bridgewater, NS, Canada, is employing a number of Production Operators to keep up with demand! There is an urgent need for this!

Your Position

The Operator operates machinery within the necessary specifications in a highly automated, state-of-the-art production plant, reporting to the shift supervisor. In addition to following protocols, the Operator’s job also calls for critical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to adapt as needed. In addition, the Operator will be in charge of keeping the workspace tidy and lending a hand wherever it is needed across the facility.

Duties

• Observe all regular operating procedures promptly and safely.
• Put all necessary information on the daily shift reports.
• Make sure you handle mobile equipment safely.
• Keep up housekeeping in compliance with safety regulations and 5S.
• Inform the Supervisor right away of any mishap or occurrence.
• Have an open mind and be willing to try new things.
• Assist the team’s needs by demonstrating a drive to produce outcomes.

Requirements

• The minimum required education level is grade 12 or above. An advantage would be prior processing plant experience.
• Preferred is prior experience working in a 24/7 organization with rotating shifts.
• It is necessary to have basic math and computer skills.
• Applicants need to have a strong desire to learn more about the plant’s functions and assume more responsibility.
• Capacity to operate both alone and in a group.
• A keen eye for detail and a strong will to complete the task at hand correctly.
• Need dependable personal transportation
