Vacancy: Delivery Van/Truck Driver

Location: Ptifoods Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

Job Specifications

We are a food distribution company that works with Greater Toronto Area retail grocery stores, and we are looking to add a Delivery Driver to our team! It will be your duty to drive a 24-foot, 5-ton straight truck (G license) safely.

Responsibilities

Drive a van and a five-ton truck safely.
Use hand carts, electric pallet jacks, and some hand bombing to load and unload cargo.
Guarantee the prompt and safe delivery of goods to our clients.
Count the cases when delivering, and get the recipient to confirm receipt of the paperwork.
Notify dispatch of any problems or incidents.
Before and after the trip, check the truck
Some shipping and receiving labor in the warehouse is necessary.

Conditions

Prior truck driving experience.
A G license and at least two years of experience driving a commercial vehicle (a straight truck or a cube van) are prerequisites.
Capable of consistently lifting to 50 pounds and enjoying physical activity.
Remarkable work ethic.
Having prior warehouse and forklift operating experience is advantageous.
